After 100 stories…

Finally finished Boccaccio’s Decameron and you know what? I love it!I

I was worried about my not liking Medieval literature, but maybe I was reading the wrong kin of Medieval lit. Anyways, I’m happy to announced that I enjoyed The Decameron and that the 7th day was my favorite, even when most of the stories were quite misogynists. Is that wrong? Mission accomplished

I actually managed to complete my mission: I’ve watched eight Jane Austen related movies and lived to tell about it. And I enjoyed every one of them, but, as usual, I liked one above the rest. Can you guess which one?

I am Anne Elliot!

Yep, I didn’t need to take a test to know I liked Persuasion more than any other of the movies. Nevertheless, I was thrilled to know I am Anne Elliot.

Now I’m back to my day-to-day life. The house feels empty without my parents, it feels less like a home. And I’m spending my mornings missing my little baby. But I’m getting used to it. Life goes on and her place is school now.

I also realized that I have a lot of unfinished projects around the house and a large stack of unfinished books that pretty much looks like this:

I went back to reading Boccaccio’s Decameron, that I started before the movie marathon, but I’ve not been able to write anything else besides this blog post. Therefore my short story is still a possibility, not a reality.
